Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and was the crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police towards DUI instances in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent. O'Dell, in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. The host of the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
